Wisdom is the capacity of judging rightly in matters of life and conduct. Only with wisdom can we know what is of true value in this life. The great sacred traditions are sources of wisdom, as well as awakeners of wisdom.

This retreat will bring together extraordinary teachers united by the theme of wisdom and spiritual practice. They will share the teachings and contemplative practices of their respective traditions in a deep process of mutual inquiry.

We will explore how wisdom, or inner knowing, is developed in esoteric Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sufism, and so equip ourselves to meet the challenges of contemporary life. Our teachers will include Reverend Cynthia Bourgeault, Ph.D., Shaikh Kabir and Camille Helminski; Pravrajika Vrajaprana, Dr. Ed Bastian (Moderator) and other teachers to be announced.

The mission of La Casa de Maria is to provide, through its programs and environment, a nourishing place of peace where persons of all faiths can search for truth, engage in dialogue, experience personal growth, realize their self worth, embrace the sacred, then refreshed and renewed, participate more responsibly in the creation of a just and peaceful world, and a whole and healthful earth.

SPIRITUAL PATHS FOUNDATION AND GRADUATE INSTITUTE
The Spiritual Paths Institute explores and celebrates the spiritual in the human quest to integrate mind, body and spirit. We promote peace in the world through programs that foster mutual curiosity, respect and acceptance between people of different spiritual traditions. Spiritual Paths presents non-sectarian public methods, resources and a process for spiritual inquiry, insight and integration. Our goal is to help people pursue their spiritual paths and to become healthy, wise and compassionate participants in our pluralistic society and interdependent world. In September, 2007, the Spiritual Paths Graduate Institute hopes to inaugurate a Masters Degree and Certificate program in InterSpiritual Studies.
