Deepen and Expand Your Spiritual Wisdom
and Compassionate Impact in the World
The Way of Contemplation and Compassionate Action brings together great spiritual teachers of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Judaism to reveal their deep contemplative practices and to show how these practices are the foundation for compassionate action in the world.
Father Thomas Keating, Rev. Cythia Bourgeault, Ph.D., Shaikh Kabir and Camille Helminski, Rabbi Rami Shapiro, and Ven. Tenzin Priyadarshi will present the practice of contemplation, meditation and action in their respective traditions.
In experiential sessions, our teachers will teach us how to practice contemplation and meditation. In discussion sessions our teachers will show how to apply contemplative wisdom in our families, professions, and communities. In the panel discussion, our teachers will compare and contrast their methods for joining contemplation and social action. In the multi-faith service, we will experience the shared practices of Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Judaism, and be energized to apply compassionate in our everyday lives.

This program will help each participant to understand and experience the shared contemplative heart beating at the center of the world's great spiritual traditions and to become effective and compassionate participants in our families, professions and in both local and global communities.
